About this Event
Autumn is drawing in, the nights are getting shorter and we have another Blue Moon Folk Club night to warm your souls! Come and relax in candlelight with a glass of wine, and become immersed in some magical folk music from these brilliant artists:
---
Liz Owen
Liz Owen is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Wirral. She has toured with notable artists Joan Armatrading and Midge Ure and has had her music featured on BBC radio. Her sound is a combination of strong, passionate vocals twinned with percussive, fingerstyle acoustic guitar to deliver her contemporary blues/folk sound. Her debut album Beautiful Beasts is being released on 19th October 2024.
"A sonorous oboe of a voice, by turns soft and winsome or hard edged and in your face, and songs which rip the lid off her heart and empty it out on your duvet cover." - Acoustic Magazine

Jessica Dives
Born and raised in the south east, adopted by the north west, Jessica is a full time creative living in Liverpool, on the brink of a debut EP release in October 2024. She is inspired by the narrative stylings of Reg Meuross, the beauty and simplicity of Karine Polwart and the intricate Guitar of Laura Marling and John Smith, all delivered through powerful and emotionally connected vocals described as reminiscent of Eddi reader. You can expect catchy melodies, soaring and sweet accordion lines and simple yet moving lyricism.
