Habitat for Humanity DeKalb is pleased to announce its Blue Jeans, BBQ and Blueprints Festival. This free outdoor street festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, and celebrates the tireless volunteers who support our mission. The festival takes place at 2380 4th Street in Tucker, Ga.During the event, Habitat DeKalb will honor four dedicated volunteers and one corporate partner with its highest volunteer honor, naming each of them 2024 Golden Hammer recipients.
The festival also showcases some of the finest local and regional talent, such as the Atlanta Drum Academy, Milkshake Mayfield, LiveWire, Illa Zilla and Gritz & Jelly Butter.
But the entertainment doesn’t stop there. Several teams will take part in our Playhouse Olympics, a friendly competition to build themed playhouses that will be gifted to families with young children. You can be a part of this noble cause – and vote for the best design on site.
Finally, DeKalb County District 3 Commissioner Larry Johnson will make a special announcement to help older adult homeowners in DeKalb. Habitat DeKalb appreciates Commissioner Johnson's dedication to enhancing healthy and safe homes in DeKalb County.
