Get ready for an immersive cultural and artistic exploration of Oregon’s coastal bounty at Portland's premier art and design hub, Art Design Xchange: ADX!

Join us for conversations over creation - this is about weaving and gathering materials, ideas, and exploring with intention...together! Get hands-on while reflecting on the beauty, bounty, mystery, and power of our beloved Pacific Ocean. This evening will highlight our relationship between humanity and the sea and explore the interconnectedness between land, sea and all living creatures.

Hands-on workshops led by local artisans will introduce innovative sustainable materials while giving participants the chance to learn and hone art techniques. Choose your own adventure with the following options:

• Seacuterie Boards with Abby Ruston of Ruston Creations
• Book Making with Jessica Werner
• Linocut/block printing with Sarah Sullivan

Create and be inspired! Workshops 5-7pm. Stay for ocean-centric snacks and social 7:00-9:00pm.

This event invites guests to reflect on conservation, sustainability, and the deep connections we share with our watery world. Whether you're a lover of art, nature, or both, this will be a transformative journey into the heart of the ocean.

ADX (Art Design Xchange) is where artists, designers, makers, builders, thinkers, and innovators come together to create, connect, and collaborate. For the past 14 years, ADX has worked with communities from around the planet to explore ideas through the act of creating together. ADX currently houses over 93 artists of all mediums and hosts regular art shows, events and community gatherings.

This event is part of a Blue Foods Forum, a new three-day event taking place during Winter Waters, an Oregon-born initiative dedicated to promoting seaweed as a superfood culinary ingredient and enhancing local Oregon coast food systems. Our mission is to bridge the gap between consumers and sustainable seafood sources through education and shared meals. Winter Waters happens every February in Portland, Oregon.
