BLUE BOTTLE STUDIO Returns to Hong Kong with a Journey into the Future of Coffee

Blue Bottle Coffee presents the return of BLUE BOTTLE STUDIO – Hong Kong a reservation-only coffee experience from 1–26 October 2025 at our Wan Chai Cafe.

Curated by James Freeman Blue Bottle Coffee founder and Studio creative advisor and Benjamin Brewer Senior Director of Global Coffee Experience this 90-minute tasting journey features six drinks and two sweets exploring the life cycle of coffee—from leaf to cherry to seed.

This season’s theme “The Future of Coffee” spotlights two rare species: Liberica and Excelsa. Liberica offers drought resistance and tropical depth with notes of blueberry jackfruit and toasted barley tea. Excelsa brings playful flavors of guava banana and soft spice. Together they represent a more diverse resilient future for coffee.

Highlights include:

• A three-part opening with coffee leaves flowers and cherries

• House-made instant coffee from Indian Excelsa

• Single-origin brews from Vietnam Malaysia and India

• Nel-drip cups inspired by Japanese kissaten culture

• Sweets by Yuichi Goto and Kazuhiro Nakamura crafted to harmonize with each cup
