Blue Book Ball
About this Event
The Blue Book Ball
Step into the spirit of 1910s New Orleans at the inaugural Blue Book Ball, an unforgettable evening of elegance, history, music, and cultural preservation hosted at the Storyville Museum.
The Storyville Museum provides the perfect backdrop for an evening inspired by the atmosphere of old New Orleans. Guests are invited to dress in formal attire and immerse themselves in an experience that captures the sophistication, energy, and character of the Storyville era while celebrating the living traditions of New Orleans culture.
Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a champagne welcome before entering an evening filled with live music, cultural storytelling, featured speakers, curated bites, and a professional cigar roller. Award-winning photographer Allan Amato will be on hand to capture the evening, allowing guests to take home a lasting portrait of their Blue Book Ball experience.
The evening will also feature a silent auction showcasing unique items, experiences, and contributions from local businesses and cultural partners.
At the heart of the evening is the New Orleans Voodoo Baby Dolls, whose Baby Doll masking tradition represents a living connection to the city's cultural history. The Blue Book Ball supports the organization's mission of cultural preservation, education, and community engagement, as well as the development of The Blue Book, a forthcoming publication exploring the history and evolution of the historic Blue Books and their connection to Storyville.
This is more than a gala; it is an invitation to step into another era of New Orleans.
Come dressed to impress. Raise a glass. Hear the music. Discover the stories. Experience the spirit of Storyville.
