The band has earned several major accolades, both as a group and as individuals. These include Rookie of the Year (2022), and sweeping the Bluespodden Awards two years in a row — winning Band of the Year, Album of the Year, and Live Act of the Year in 2023, followed by Band of the Year and Live Act of the Year again in 2024. That same year, The Blue Benders claimed second place among 21 acts in the international European Blues Challenge.
A fast rise on the Swedish music scene led to a productive studio session that birthed their debut EP Strike One, released in the fall of 2023. The sold-out release show at Stockholm’s legendary Nalen marked the beginning of a new era for the band.
2024 was packed with explosive performances, including standout gigs at Stockholm Pride, U-Port Festival, and a headline night at Debaser in Stockholm. In late November, the band returned to the studio to record their first full-length album — a milestone marking their next big leap.
As 2025 kicks off, The Blue Benders continue their relentless touring, delivering unforgettable shows and spreading their unique blend of groove, grit, and soul to new audiences across the map.
