Forbidden Planet is excited to celebrate the release of Blue Beetle: This Land is Our Land on October 2nd from 5-7PM with creators Julio Anta and Jacoby Salcedo. It's always a good time when local author Julio drops in to promote a new release and we are stoked that he will be joined by artist Jacoby to celebrate this all new DC Comics graphic novel.

About the creators: Julio Anta is a Cuban and Colombian American author of many graphic novels including Home, Sí, Se Puede: The Latino Heroes Who Changed the United States and more. Julio was born and raised in Miami, Florida and currently resides in New York City.

Jacoby Salcedo is a Mexican American comic book illustrator based in Olympia, Washington. He is the co-creator and artist of the Dark Horse Comics mini-series It’s Only Teenage Wasteland and has been featured in multiple comic anthologies including the GLAAD Award-winning Young Men in Love, DC's Legion of Bloom, Panel X Panel and Graphic Mundi's Covid Chronicles.
