The American Heart Association (AHA)BLS CPR (Basic Life Support CPR):
Audience: BLS CPR is typically intended for healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, paramedics, EMTs, dental staff, and other healthcare providers. They call it BLS because it is the lowest/basic CPR level required in the healthcare field.
-Skills Covered:BLS CPR training covers more advanced techniques beyond CPR, including:
Chest compressions (for one and two rescuers)
Breathing (use of a pocket mask and BVM)
Use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs)
Clearing airway obstructions (choking)
Techniques for adults, children, and infants
Team-based resuscitation
Pulse Check (less than 10 seconds)
This certification expires every two years and requires hands-on CPR training, with breathing devices.
Cost: $65 paid prior to save a seat!
Cards will be issued at the end of class.
