Blowup is back!Yes, indeed! it’s that ‘most wonderful time of the year’ once again and that means it’s also that ‘most wonderful time of the year’ when Toronto’s Britpop/UK Indie/Mod dance party legend Blowup returns for the much loved, highly anticipated annual Christmas party Winter Ball, reunion extraordinaire… and… this year things are set to get a whole lot more wonderful (if that’s even possible!?)… as this year Blowup will be celebrating a massive milestone 30th anniversary!
We admit that it's a bit hard to fathom at times, but it has now been 30 years since we launched Canada’s original Britpop/Mod party up at the little Red Raven bar on Dupont Street in Toronto. We’ve done a whole lot of dancing, drinking and carrying on together over those 30 years.... We've forged countless lifelong friendships, loves, partnerships, marriages, and now have kids old enough to attend Blowup themselves.... A whole lotta memories have been made…. and this year we will celebrate all those memories in style by creating one more classic night for the memory banks.
Our Blowup Christmas/Winter Ball is always a completely sold out affair and this year might possibly be the fastest sell-out ever as we have already received a record amount of advance ticket requests from long time Blowup regulars all over the globe who are planning to come back to the city for the holidays and to be there to celebrate 30 years of fun with old friends dancing the night away to the very best music from the very best time period ever!
All your favourite Blowup DJ’s + the annual Blowup Christmas party guest DJ’s are back again spinning the very very finest mix of Britpop, UK Indie, Mod 60’s, Soul & Ska in 2 rooms, all night long
