FAT SPATULA
Transatlantic guitar racket / fat beats and greasy riffs. Veterans of the York music scene Fat Spatula draw on myriad influences from Pixies, Built To Spill and Minutemen through to Dolly Parton. A tight and thoroughly entertaining live band, listeners can expect to be treated to sounds running the gamut from punk through to country.

PERCY
The Return of Percy!!! - 30 years since Andy Wiles and Colin Howard first played the (old) Duchess in Leeds. A special reunion of Synth heavy, dark and spiky Post Punk from York. raw edged guitars and infectious bass riffs... whats not to like
"Imagine, if you will, the punk sensibilities of Johnny Rotten or Joe Strummer crossed with Magazine’s avant-sneer and then throw into the mix the Surfaris, Dick Dale and Russ Meyer. They are exciting, exhausting and invigorating all at once... Andy Snipper, Music News,

HELP! HELP! HELP!

For fans of Black Midi, Primus, Squid, Geese, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

SOMA CREW
Much can be said of this mighty York band - so pleased that they can join this line up., As Chris from AuralAggrivation says of their July 26 gig "Soma Crew might well be the band I’ve seen and covered the most since I started out with Aural Aggravation a decade ago, and I’d seen them a fair few times before that, too. They ...can be depended on for three things: 1) a different lineup nearly every time 2) drummer Nick wearing his Sin City Rockers T-shirt 3) they’ll always play counterintuitively and start with the most hesitant-sounding, ploddiest song on the setlist. It’s like a test, but also a warm-up as they feel their way towards the groove. It’s only after the drawling crawl that they strike their motorik stride, and once they do, they’re mining gold all the way to the finish. Chugging rhythm guitar, strolling bass, soaring lead and thudding minimal drums all settle in nicely.

MOONGATE
Special guest openers from new Leeds band Moongate: "Moongate is a north-based shoegaze/dreampop project known for blending atmospheric soundscapes with emotionally rich songwriting. After building early momentum supporting Mercury Prize winners English Teacher during Independent Venue Week, the project now re-emerges from a short hiatus with new music, ready to captivate listeners once again with their dreamy, immersive sound..."
