About this Event

Ready to learn how to use a sewing machine to create a blouse just for you? This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to be creative, learn a new skill (or become more adept at sewing), and hang out with some cool people.

🧵 Four hours of hands-on guidance and instruction during which you will learn how to:

  • Set up your machine
  • Wind the bobbin
  • Thread a machine
  • Create and cut a pattern (a flowy blouse)

✨ If you have a machine, then please bring it. If you do not have a machine, we have extra machines which you can use for the workshop. (Please email Kim if you need a machine for the class.)

🧵 Everyone will need to bring:

  • Two yards of fabric (lightweight cotton)
  • Matching all-purpose thread
  • Three yards of bias tape

🧵 By the end of the workshop, you will go home with:

  • A new lifelong skill
  • Your very own garment
  • Confidence to approach and operate a sewing machine
  • Knowing you are capable to succeed
