Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival and Public Disco return with a one-day block party in the heart of Downtown.This year, the celebration returns to the Dunsmuir Patio at Bentall Centre and expands with a full street closure, doubling the site capacity and creating more room to gather, move, and welcome spring together, just steps from the blossoms outside Burrard SkyTrain Station.
From the Curator, Kozue: WAX & FLOWER is a vinyl only, all-femme lineup exploring groove through the art of records. Inspired by spring’s impermanence, the music unfolds naturally - like petals opening on the dance floor. Deep, eclectic selections flow across house, deep house, disco, soul, boogie, slow jams, and beyond, all in full bloom, guided by hands on wax.

Running from March 26 to April 28, the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the season with community events across the city—from The Big Picnic and Blossoms After Dark to Sakura Days Japan Fair. Blossom Block Party brings music and dancing into the downtown core as part of the festival’s growing cultural program.

This event spans multiple levels. Wheelchair accessibility is limited to the top levels, which includes shade/shelter, viewing areas, a bar, a wheelchair-accessible washroom, and food vendors. There is no ramp access to the lower dance floor or bar.
Seating options include lounge chairs, bistro tables, benches, and concrete blocks. Restrooms are located inside Bentall Centre and at FUNK Coffee Bar (wheelchair accessible).
