LOCATION: Water Works Pavilion, located at 425 W River Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55401 — right along the beautiful river and next to Owamni!

Join us this spring for a hands on earring making experience where you'll paint your very own pair of elk hide earrings also known as parfleche! Using spring themed Ojibwe inspiration drawn from plant medicines, animals, and landscapes, you’ll create a personal adornment that celebrates the season of renewal.

In this workshop, you will:
• Paint elk hide with your own spring design
• Learn how to seal your artwork
• Assemble earring hardware
• Explore the teachings of Ziigwan (spring), traditional parfleche, and sacred plants
• Hear Ojibwe stories that connect us to the land and season

Everyone will leave with a unique pair of handmade earrings and new knowledge rooted in culture and creativity.

Enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks including our favorite cedar tea and refreshing pine needle soda.
All materials are included. No experience necessary , just bring your love for art, community, and culture.
