The Chicago Afternoon Tea Society is taking over KOVAL Distillery's garden patio for an intimate afternoon that blends the art of tea with the craft of distilling — and we only have 20 seats.
Here's how the afternoon unfolds:
🏭 1:00 PM — Private Distillery Tour
We go behind the scenes at one of Chicago's most celebrated craft distilleries. Walk the production floor, meet the copper pot stills, and hear the grain-to-bottle story that makes KOVAL legendary.
🌿 2:00 PM — Garden Tea Service Begins
Your table is already set when the tour ends. We settle into the patio for a full traditional tiered afternoon tea — light bites, good conversation, and no rushing.
On the menu:
🥪 Truffled egg salad popovers · Shaved sirloin on spinach bread · Lobster & shrimp salad on marble rye · Heirloom tomato carpaccio with herbed ricotta 🌿 Watermelon & feta skewers
🫖 Seasonal scones with clotted cream & jam · Give Me Some Sugah 🍋 Strawberry matcha éclairs · Petite tartlets · French macarons
And two signature tea cocktails created exclusively for the afternoon:
✦ The Lavender Garden — KOVAL Dry Gin, lavender syrup & cold-brewed chamomile tea
✦ The Gold Rush — KOVAL Rye, Chrysanthemum & Honey Liqueur & cold-brewed black tea
This is not brunch. This is not a cocktail hour. This is a true afternoon tea — with a distillery twist.
