About Training: The Bloomberg training will cover the basics of using the Bloomberg terminals as well as provide an overview of Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) and how to become Bloomberg certified. After completing the training, you will be able to gain access to the Trading Room to complete BMC and obtain your Bloomberg certification.

About Certification: You become certified by completing Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC). BMC is a course that blends the fundamentals of financial theory with real-world events and data. BMC consists of 4 modules and takes approximately 8 hours to complete.

Benefits of Completing BMC:

• Familiarize yourself with the Bloomberg Professional Service
• Discover the inner workings of the markets
• Supplement university learning with practical knowledge of the markets
• Be officially ‘Bloomberg-certified (you can download your certificate and list it on your resume)
• Get your resume on Bloomberg, where all Bloomberg customers will be able to access it!

FAQ:

• Training and access to the Trading Room is for Finance majors only.
• Training sessions last 30 – 45 minutes
• Multiple sessions are held each semester, including summer, so don’t worry if you can’t attend this one.
• The training session is separate from the certification course.
• After attending the training, you will be emailed a link to the Trading Room reservation request calendar so you can schedule times to work on your certification.
• You do not need to complete BMC within a specified amount of time after completing the training.
• BMC and certification is free as long as you use the terminals in the Trading Room.
