About the Experience

At Outside with Recess Village, we believe our elders deserve intentional spaces to rest, create, and be celebrated.

Bloom & Create is part of our Elder Explorers series — a collection of free experiences designed to support wellness, connection, and joy for Black elders.

This floral arrangement workshop offers more than the chance to make a bouquet.

It’s an opportunity to:

• slow down and create with your hands
• connect with others in community
• experience the calming benefits of working with flowers
• leave with a beautiful arrangement of your own

Whether you’ve arranged flowers before or this is your first time, this experience is designed to be welcoming, relaxing, and meaningful.

During this guided two-hour session, participants will:

• Learn the basics of floral arrangement design
• Work with fresh seasonal blooms
• Create a mini-vase arrangement to take home
• Enjoy a relaxed and supportive group experience

All floral materials and tools will be provided.
