Bloodline of the Land: Indigenous Enterprise & Daisy Jopling
Join us for the developmental production of this powerful new work.
Bloodline of the Land is a groundbreaking live multimedia dance theater production created in collaboration with violinist Daisy Jopling and Indigenous Enterprise, the internationally recognized Indigenous performance company seen on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Super Bowl, Lincoln Center and stages around the world. Blending pow wow dancing and singing, live orchestral music, spoken word, and cinematic visual storytelling, the work explores Indigenous resilience, cultural survival, and the urgent need to protect Mother Earth.
At the heart of the production is one powerful idea: the same fight our ancestors carried to protect our songs, dances, languages, and ceremonies is the fight we must now carry to protect the land, water, animals, and future of our planet. Guided by the voice of an Elder and brought to life by a full orchestra, children’s choir, dancers, and storytellers, Bloodline of the Land is more than a performance, it is a prayer, a remembrance, and a call to action.
