About this Event
This half day course discusses employer responsibilities for OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) and Hazard Communication (HazCom) Standards, and best practices for implementing the required workplace programs. A BBP program is required if an employer has employees at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace, and includes training on how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material.
A HazCom program is required if an employer has employees at risk for on the job exposure to chemicals, and is based on the concept that employees have both a need and a right to know the hazards and identities of the chemicals they are exposed to while working.
