About this Event
On Friday, February 6, 2026, the UNLV School of Medicine, in collaboration with two Coronado High School students, will host a Blood Cancer Research Seminar to advance students' understanding of hematologic malignancies, current research directions, and clinical oncology practice!
We are honored to introduce Dr. Marc Kahn of UNLV Health as the featured guest speaker. Dr. Kahn is a Professor in the Department of Medicine and serves as the Division Chief of Hematology and Medical Oncology at UNLV. He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of blood cancers, and plays a leading role in shaping both patient care and medical education within the UNLV Health system. With extensive experience in clinical oncology and translational research, Dr. Kahn brings valuable insight into emerging therapies, research trends, and the future of blood cancer treatment.
The seminar will conclude with an optional opportunity to donate funds to Blood Cancer United, supporting ongoing research, patient advocacy, and treatment initiatives. This event also serves as a valuable opportunity for students to interview, network, and gain firsthand exposure to current research trends and the career path of a medical professional, making it especially beneficial for those interested in medicine, research, and oncology.
