Blind Contour Portrait Drawing with Amy Ward
Sat Nov 27 2021 at 02:00 pm to 04:00 pm
Holiday Horseshoe Market | Denver, CO
About this Event
We will learn to create the essence of a person - studying your classmates’ faces, tracing facial features without picking up our pencil. The results are silly, extraordinary and Picasso-esque. The shapes you’ll create are better than the ones you could ever make while you’re looking at what you’re doing. And the best part is, you can’t make mistakes: No Mess Ups Possible!
Learn this awesome drawing technique AND pick up some magical watercolor tricks too. Take home a finished gorgeous, one of a kind work of abstract art made entirely by you.
Bring a friend and make portraits of each other!
Amy is an artist with deep roots in education and wilderness leadership, Amy has spent her life examining relationships through art: to self, to each other, to landscape and the earth. She holds a BA in Visual Art and an M.Ed. in Art Education. Amy’s artwork brings a fresh approach to abstract expressionism: the visceral energy of her paint focused beginnings slows into secondary layers of finely detailed inky line work.
