TRAINING OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS!! DVI is hosting a week-long event, ALL EXPENSES PAID on a COLLEGE campus including over night accommodations. Registration is limited to 15 students, RSVP EARLY! First 5 students to register will receive a prize! Save the date: June 28th – July 2nd. RSVP for early registration by April 19th. RSVP for final registration by May 7th. (Must commit to all 5 days of training & 4 overnight stays)Blind & Socially Savvy is an innovative soft skills development and leadership training program specifically designed to meet the needs of blind and low-vision youth and young adults. Employment related blindness nuances and are a special focus in this highly interactive program. Come join us for coaching in the use of social cues and body language, mingling/networking skills, establishing your image both in person and in the virtual world. Learn protocols for asking for and refusing help in public spaces and navigating low expectations. Enjoy opportunities to participate in informational interviews, virtual tours and much, much more.
