About this Event

oasis (noun): a place to find shelter, solitude, necessities and safety

BLEU OASIS has been created to be a place of healing for all who have ever been on a journey of drought, loneliness, almost giving up and thinking that it could never get better. It is a place that will encourage growth, expansion and provide community in the lives of the featured artists and every audience member.

The Feature

is a 23 year old rap and spoken word artist from North Carolina. He consistently pulls inspiration from Andre 3000, J. Cole, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Common and many other dynamic and influential artists of our time. Originally, he was one half of a duo known as “PRODUCTII.V.IITY” until the passing of his brother and former group member Naquinn in December 2017. Hiiatus is now perfecting his craft through performances around the DMV and successfully pursuing a solo career. He received his first feature in September 2023 at Busboys and Poets and continues to be recognized for his lyricism and impactful, heart-filled messages.

The Hosts

is a woman on a mission to serve and support the community. Bleu is a poet, as well as a visual artist that has been painting for 6 years. Her artwork has been showcased in a museum, at comedy and jazz shows, various art events in the DMV, and she has led numerous sip and paint sessions. After dabbling in the poetry scene for 3 years, she has now been consistently honoring her gift and passion. Bleu's goal is to create spaces where artists in the DMV are allowed to come and just be.

Event Photos

is a DC Native and multidisciplinary artist innovating through poetry, visual art, style and event curation. Her writing has been an outlet for healing and affirmation since childhood and made way for her exploration of additional mediums. 2022 was the beginning of her emphasis on a holistic approach to sustainability: emotionally, spiritually, physically, psychologically, economically, and environmentally. She began hosting monthly open mics to normalize and promote vulnerability while building community. Currently, she is creating more opportunities to expand her reach as a teaching artist.
