Join us outside on the South Lawn (St. Andrews side) as we bless our animals and pets in honor of St. Francis, who was known for his love of all God's creatures. Animals are our neighbors too, and we honor the companionship, joy and love our pets bring into our homes, families and neighborhoods. Bring your pets of any size and kind, or if your pet isn't comfortable in social settings, feel free to bring an "icon" like a photo or collar to be blessed in their place. We will have a short prayer service followed by individual blessings for each animal.
You'll also have the opportunity to meet some adoptable pets from the Midland Humane Society, and to make a donation. In addition to cash donations, litter and canned food are especially appreciated.
