Blessing animals affirms that all of creation matters to God. This follows bible verses:
• Genesis 1:25 – God saw that all creatures were good.
• Numbers 22:21-33 – Balaam and his donkey, who saw the angel and talked (the donkey, that is).
• Psalm 104 – Describes God’s care for all animals.
