Blessing of the Animals Sunday

We’ll have a Blessing of the Animals during worship on September 27th (St. Francis of Assisi Day is October 4th, but as that is our ecumenical world communion service, we’re doing it a week early).
All animals are welcome, as long as they can be controlled on a leash or in a crate/carrier. For large or uncooperative animals, you may bring a picture, or a piece of paper with their name on it (we’ll have paper and pencils at church for that).
You can also bring pictures or names of animals who are no longer with us.
Kids (and even adults) can bring stuffed animals for a blessing as well.
If you will not be here that Sunday, you can send an email with the name(s) of your pet(s).
The animals attending in the flesh may come in for worship or kept in your vehicle or the fellowship hall until time for the blessing (there will be time both before and after the blessing to retrieve and return your animals).
