Bring your pets to Somerset First United Methodist Church to be blessed on Saturday, October 5th!This year, we're doing something different -- we are partnering with St. Patrick Episcopal Church to make this event even better! In additional to Mother Chris and/or Pastor Chris blessing any critter you'd like to bring - WE ARE HAVING A COOK-OUT, and and a bake sale to benefit 3 very special pet rescues -- the Somerset-Pulaski County Humane Society (SPCHS), Kentucky Saving Them Together (KSTT) and Hope for All Pets (HAPI).
All pets are welcome -- miniature horses, gerbils, hamsters, cats, dogs, birds...yes even frogs and goldfish -- each will receive an individual, personal blessing from Pastor Chris or Mother Chris!
As God's creatures, animals know no denomination, so all humans of all denominations and faiths are welcome! Lunch is free! To help the rescues, we encourage you to bring a donation of kitten/cat or puppy/dog food or cash to help them pay their veterinarians and buy desperately needed medicine and supplies. All donations will be divided evenly between all 3 rescue groups.
Are you thinking about adding a new family member? Kentucky Saving Them Together and the Somerset-Pulaski County Humane Society will have adoptable pets at the fun event.
For everyone's safety, please be sure to have all animals on a leash or in a carrier.
