Wisconsin-native Blessed Solanus Casey, on the path to sainthood, served as porter, or doorkeeper, at Capuchin monasteries, accompanying the sick and the poor and all those seeking refuge, prayer and consolation. During the Republican National Convention, the Capuchin Franciscans are opening the doors of our downtown Milwaukee parishes for any and all who seek quiet, peace, and prayer with the Lord. The Most Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration during these times.
Solanus opened the door for thousands of people to encounter God. In this same spirit, the Capuchin friars invite RNC attendees to encounter the grace of our Lord present in the Eucharist.
