Независимо дали носи ярост, удоволствие, болка или дори мълчание, писъкът е мощен и дълбоко интимен акт. Той предизвиква мигновено съпреживяване, активирайки едни от най-първичните ни човешки реакции – пукнатина във времето и пространството.
Bless the Sound that Saved a Witch Like Me е опит да се възстанови тази радикална форма на изразяване и да се изследва нейната сурова енергия. Чрез интензивно физическо и звуково пътуване представлението превръща този жизнен импулс в зов за тревога в контекста на геополитическите, идеологическите и екологичните кризи на нашето време.
Това е хореографско произведение, в което физическото присъствие и въплъщението са в центъра. Създадено през 2023 г. за Сати Вейрюн и предадено на Тхи Май Нгуен през 2024 г., представлението е вдъхновено от поеми и манифести на Б. Кан. С впечатляващия светлинен дизайн на Н. Дусе и звуковата среда на Л. Рос се изгражда мощен сценичен пейзаж, в който мълчанието, протестът и първичният импулс се преплитат в разгъваща се сценична поема.

Often associated with anger and chaos, the scream has long been criticized, condemned, or censored — both in language and in public space. Yet it can also be understood as one of the most immediate and audible expressions of personal urgency in response to political and public realities. Whether charged with rage, pleasure, pain, or even silence, the scream is a powerful and deeply intimate act. It provokes instant empathy, activating some of our most instinctive human responses — a crack in time and space.
Bless the Sound that Saved a Witch Like Me is an attempt to reclaim this radical form of expression and explore its raw energy. Through an intense physical and sonic journey, the performance transforms this vital impulse into a cry of alarm in the context of the geopolitical, ideological, and ecological crises of our time.
This choreographic work places physical presence and embodiment at its core. Created in 2023 for Sati Veyrunes and passed on to Thi Mai Nguyen in 2024, the piece is inspired by poems and manifestos by B. Kan. Enhanced by the striking lighting design of N. Doucet and the soundscape by L. Ross, it unfolds as a powerful scenic landscape where silence, protest, and primal impulse intertwine in an evolving stage poem.
