On 3 September, the SONIC! system leaves Hoi An. The L Acoustics rig that stood on the sand at sunrise gets carried piece by piece into Blends. Stacked, wired, tuned for one room, one night.
It's the first time SONIC! and Blends do this together. Two names you already know, one room we've never shared in this way.
Here's the lineup we've prepared for this takeover...
La Riff, from Danang's Gu project. Jazz Cat Luong is family here, we couldn't imagine this night without him. Patrick S, SONIC! resident, will be behind the decks too.
Pam Anantr is coming from Bangkok. We've been listening to her for a long time: her sets glide from soulful disco into boogie, jazz-funk, house. She's played Circus Tokyo, Wonderfruit, Beam, Zodiac Jakarta, Rinse FM. Mixmag Asia picked her as one to watch in 2024. She built Salon Kiku in Bangkok, holds down residencies at Transport and The Standard.
