The project that later became Blastard was started in 2018, when guitarist Lars had moved to Cologne and met drummer Manu. Both were sharing the love for the raw early Earache and Nuclear Blast-like stuff. So they started to blast riffs and beats and looking for bandmembers.
After the imponderabilities of the pandemic they finally managed to play shows and release their first demo in 2024.
In 2025 they’re going to conquer the world of old-school death-grind with an assault of fresh blasting tunes with love for the combination of speed, heavyness and insulting lyrics.
Formed in 2007 in Halen, Belgium, by brothers Jasper and Owen Swerts, Days of Desolation began their sonic journey as a raw, grindy crust punk outfit. Over the nearly two decades of active noise that followed, the band has carved out a permanent, defiant space within the international underground scene.
After unleashing their debut full-length album in 2013, the band weathered several line-up changes while keeping their creative core intact.
Driven by a radical DIY philosophy, Days of Desolation chose to build their legacy on a massive string of highly-sought-after split 7" and 10" vinyls with global scene heavyweights like Controlled Existence, Noisear, Disuse, and Travølta.
These releases were brought to life through their own label Halenoise Records, alongside various cult underground labels worldwide.
Musically, they deploy a devastating blend of lightning-fast grindcore and dark crusty punk inspired by swedish influences.
Menschenstaub aus Dortmund spielen Crust mit starkem Sludge-Einschlag. 2019 gegründet hat die Band mittlerweile eine EP, eine LP und eine Split in ihrem Repertoire und konnte ihr Material live u.a. mit Bands wie Wormrot, Rotten Sound und Yacopsae präsentieren.
Die Texte bewegen sich zwischen Sozialkritik und persönlichen Abgründen. Schnelle Parts mit D- und Blastbeats wechseln sich mit schleppenden Passagen ab und fügen sich zu einem abwechslungsreichen Sound zusammen, der dabei aber immer düster bleibt.
