Blank Slate - Multimedia Zine Workshop
About this Event
For our next Blank Slate workshop, we will explore the world of digital art. Led by artist Elle Godfree, we will look at the basics of Procreate and produce our own zines and posters by learning new digital art techniques and developing our own graphical identity.
Our zines and posters will be large-printed to compile into one massive zine for our community exhibition - S for Southend.
For 13 to 16 year-olds only
Through alternative media, we will investigate how identity is constructed and transformed in a safe and engaging space.
Inspired by real-world printing techniques, this workshop will show you the endless possibilities of digital printmaking.
You will learn how to balance technical skills (layers, file exporting, and templates) while developing your own theme and concept. These skills are transferable across many professions like graphic design, illustration, marketing, and animation.
No experience needed - all skill levels welcome!
About Blank Slate:
Blank Slate is our monthly group for ages 13 to 16, bringing you something fresh, fun, and inspiring on the last Friday of every month 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
Our mission is to create a space where you can unleash your creativity through workshops, talks, tours, and outings to other art spaces and galleries. You’ll get to meet and hang out with professional artists and creatives, gaining inspiration and insight into the art world.
