About this Event
As part of Transport for NSW’s Safer Cities: Her Way Program, Blacktown City Council received a $1 million grant to deliver trial improvements and events around public spaces such as streets and transport hub precincts, to make them feel safer and more welcoming for everyone.
Based on community feedback and ideas, Council has made trial improvements to the following areas to make it feel safer and more welcoming.
· Blacktown Station Plaza
· Jim Simpson Lane
· Sections of Main Street
Now, we want you to tell us how these trial improvements have impacted how you feel moving through the space.
Join a community ‘walkshop’, where we will revisit Blacktown Station Plaza, Jim Simpson Lane, and sections of Main Street to see the changes that have been made.
This is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and let us know how these trial improvements and events have changed the way you feel about safety when walking through the area.
Date: Tuesday 13 August 2024,
Time: 3pm – 4.30pm
Starting Location: Australian Catholic University, Blacktown Campus Lobby, 22 Main St, Blacktown NSW 2148
