Blacktoberfest Beer Fest is an homage to every important, interconnected sector of Black culture with a focus on our common love of all things craft beer! Our goal is to engage the brewing industry to bond opportunity, accessibility and creativity in ways that empower the Black community and make the craft beer industry even more progressive for everyone.
Blacktoberfest the beer is the coming-together over a common love of brewing and emphasizing the importance of combining our collective efforts from the grains to the glass. In year three of this historic collaboration, we bring ten Black-owned breweries together to brew Blacktoberfest Marzen-Style Ale, a beer that set a standard in taste and purpose in years one and two of our event.
Our third annual craft beer showcase takes place October 22nd at Durham Bottling Co. in Durham, NC. 12,000 square feet of space that will highlight who's who and who's new to the country's expanding Black craft beer scene. We will have 20 Black-owned craft beer, wine and spirits companies participating with curated VIP activations.
All VIP & General Admission guests will receive a commemorative tasting glass and have access to unlimited 4 oz. samples from our participating beverage vendors. VIP and Early Admission tickets will get you early entrance into the festival where you’ll be able to sample exclusive special brews not available during general admission. VIP tickets grant you access to the event from 1:00pm – 10:00pm. With only 200 VIP tickets available, take advantage of this extra hour to chat in a small setting with the brew masters themselves and your fellow beer enthusiasts and be the first to purchase Blacktoberfest glassware and merchandise. Designated Driver tickets are also available.
October is National Domestic Abuse Awareness month and Blacktoberfest is pleased to announce it's partnership with Shining Light In Darkness (SLID). Shining Light In Darkness's charge is to engage voices to create change in the prevention, intervention, and response to sexual assault and domestic violence and create healthy relationships and compassionate communities. Proceeds from the festival will be donated to SLID and their programs and outreach.
