Welcome to the 49th Annual Afro Circus! This is a community effort put together by Ashanti Blacktacular Hall to celebrate ourselves and our community. Join us as we take a multi-genre journey from 2-step & UKG into Booty Breaks and then into Drum & Bass and Turntablism. The selectors of the night for are as follows:
DJ FLAVE
(SEA, Smokeshack Records)
Undefeated NW DnB Battle Champion and all around Super Savage Born in Seattle Washington. DJ Flave is a well-rounded and incredibly talented DJ who's no stranger to party rockin'.
Over the past 25+ years, Flave has opened for nearly every major headliner in the industry, played all across the country and has no limits to what genres he can play. A Flave set is not just a dj playing tunes, but works of art designed to inspire people to be themselves and live their lives like there's no tomorrow.
If you think this is a bold statement, you’ve probably never seen him play. We've seen him playing sax over his DJ sets, scratching with his feet, mixing in reverse, dual needle dropping sections of different tunes, MC'ing his own set, playing without headphones and fully reading and rockin the crowd. He is a true performer.

Kyle is a preeminent Junglist.
He was raised on Hip-Hop, Reggae and Drum & Bass since he was a teenager and he's made it his life's dedication to spread the gospel of DnB to the masses ever since. Lately he's started his own 501c3 with the intention of sharing his knowledge with future generations.

Jed Black (aka Electrokid - PDX - Basscult)
In the dynamic world of electronic music, few names have become as synonymous with breakbeats across the Great Northwest as DJ Electrokid. His journey began in 1998, a time when the local electronic scene was burgeoning with new sounds and possibilities. With a keen ear for underground sounds and a knack for electrifying selections, Electrokid quickly became a respected figure in the region's nightlife.
His ability to weave tracks into a tapestry of sound made every set an unforgettable experience, but were more than just music; they were sonic journeys that captivated thousands of party-goers minds and bodies! For over 25 years, Electrokid's reputation for quality and consistency has earned him the trust to play alongside some of the world's DJ heavy hitters, sharing stages with international stars and bringing underground sounds to his local fans. His legacy is not just in the memories he's created or the tracks he's spun — it's in the community he's helped create and the love for music.

SUFF-X (PDX - Basscult)
Incredibly excited for Suff-x to open up this night at The Den. Bryce is a pusher of so many good things its hard to encapsulate in a succinct artist spotlight. What I will say is that Bryce is an amazing artist/musician. He was producing breakbeats and doing live PAs back in the late 90s, early 00's and has continued to evolve as a magical musician, a craft that he is passing on to his kids as the wonderful and musically inclined dad he is. Bryce is a good friend to the tribe, so it is going to be poignant that he opens up my birthday with some of his some juicy 2-Step/ UKG
