Blackstratblues is a solo project of Warren Mendonsa who is a guitarist and music producer
originally from Mumbai, India.
When in India the project was a frequent fixture on the festival circuit, sharing stages with artists such as John Mayall, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Steve Vai and Billy Gibbons. In NZ Warren has worked with artists like Midge Marsden, Lorina Harding and Donna Dean.
Warrens material is largely from melodic blues-based rock but has plenty of psychedelic and electronic influences. Warren will be joined by Jared Kahi on Bass and Logan Compain on Drums. “
