Get ready to unleash your creativity at this in-person event where you'll create unique blackout poetry with the guidance of the talented Casey Britton, poet and creator of the art & literary digital magazine Gypsophila (@gypsophila on IG).

Bring an old book or use the provided materials to craft your masterpiece. Whether you're a seasoned poet or just starting out, this hangout is perfect for all skill levels. Don't miss out on this opportunity to mingle with fellow poetry enthusiasts and have a blast expressing yourself through art!

As Casey herself describes it, "Blackout poetry is a good way to get yourself writing when you don’t have the words. Tear a page from a book and piece together your own poem from words already provided to you! It takes some of the struggle out, let's you reuse something to create something new, and brings out a side of creativity and innovation you may not have known you can do!"

Tickets for this are sliding scale $15-$25, with some supplies provided. We recommend bringing a sharpie or fat black marker and some old novels or magazines to find your found poetry inspiration!

The last 30 minutes of the workshop will be an open mic style show-and-tell opportunity for people to share their poems with the group.
