Join us for Black Book Sessions #35, a free community arts celebration presented by Black Book Sessions (BBS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering young artists through creative education, mentorship, and community engagement. Held during Pomona ArtWalk in collaboration with OverSpray Art Supply & Gallery and Urban Rising Los Angeles this all-ages event brings together artists, families, and the community for an evening of creativity, culture, and connection.
Experience a full lineup of activities, including a Youth Art Contest (ages 9–24), a $1,000 Live Graffiti Battle curated by special guest Aloy One (MSK), interactive illustration and zine-making workshops, a DIY screen-printing experience, arts and crafts for kids and families, live DJs, music, and community resource booths.
Whether you're an aspiring artist, a creative professional, or simply looking for a fun and inspiring evening, Black Book Sessions offers something for everyone. Meet local artists, discover creative opportunities, learn new skills, and celebrate Southern California's vibrant arts community.
Admission is FREE, and everyone is welcome!
BlackBook Sessions Art Contest Rules
Only ONE entry per artist will be accepted per contest.
Contest is for Ages: 9 – 24 years old only.
Prize packs will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in each respective age category.
Qualifying art submission techniques may include, but are not limited to oils, scratch-board, pointillism, chalk, pastels, charcoal, colored pencil, acrylics, dry brush, watercolor, cross hatch, lead, linoleum printing, tempera and/or crayon.
Digital, sculpture and ceramic artwork or photography will not be accepted
Deadline Registration

We highly encourage you to complete your art piece prior to the day of the event.
