The purpose the forum is to engage Black Women in the conversation about issues that matter the most to them and their families, hear from elected officials and advocacy leaders on local and national black issues to be addressed by the new President’s administration, answer questions and help set an agenda for attendees to take back to their communities. Lastly, a call to action and next steps in maintaining active engagement this election year. The forum will provide representation from both Missouri and Kansas and consist of elected officials, special guests and advocacy leaders as panelist speakers.
There is a service component to the event. Each attendee is asked to bring a black hair care product to support women and girls in area shelters.
