About this Event

The Banana Festival, now in its 13th year, is a major summer event in California's Capital. It is organized by the Sojourner Truth Multicultural Heritage Museum. Entry fee before the festival is $8 for adults and $6 for children. Entry fee at the gate is $10 for adults, and $8 for children. Once into the event, there is no fee for visiting the Black Women Write booth. For more information about the festival, visit its website at:
https://www.bananafestivalsac.org

This year's festival will include the Black Women Write Literary Organization hosting a booth for local authors to showcase their art. Come hear them read their poetry and stories, see displays of their books, and join with them in conversation about the diverse literary community enriching the life of our region. The event provides a great opportunity for writers to meet other writers as well as to discover the advantages of membership in Black Women Write.
