Join us for an unforgettable 3-day experience dedicated to celebrating, uplifting, and equipping the powerhouse that is the Black Women of Long Island.
This year’s theme, UNBREAKABLE, honors the strength, endurance, and brilliance of Black women who continue to lead, inspire, and transform our communities—despite systemic barriers, societal challenges, and political unrest.
Now in its third year, the BWLI Con & Awards Weekend brings together trailblazing professionals, community leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and emerging voices from across Long Island and beyond.
BWLI is more than a conference and awards—it’s a movement.
Born from the mission to celebrate and connect over 4,600+ Black women in Long Island, this event is a sacred space where we pour back into ourselves, honor our brilliance, and circulate the Black dollar.
This year, we move forward in power, in purpose, and unshaken.
Day 1: The BWLI Power Mixer

Step into an evening of networking and celebration as we officially kick off the 3rd Annual BWLI Con & Awards Weekend with the Power Mixer—our signature welcome celebration and networking affair curated exclusively for Black women leaders, innovators, and change agents.
Whether you’re reconnecting or stepping into this community for the first time, the Power Mixer sets the tone: powerful, intentional, and beautifully Black.
What to Expect:
💫 Red Carpet & Step-and-Repeat Experience
Strike a pose and capture the moment in your finest look—this is your soft-launch into a weekend of celebration and excellence. Photographers and media outlets will be on-site.

Black Women of Long Island proudly presents BWLI PowerCon 2026—a full-day conference designed to educate, elevate, and empower. Following the success of last year’s theme Transformation, this year’s theme will boldly reflect the cultural moment, political climate, and power of Black women reclaiming leadership, identity, and impact.
