Black Violin with Braxton Cook: The Be Free Tour

Fort Lauderdale duo Black Violin’s fusion of classical melodies and hip-hop beats has made them a favorite of Straz audiences. Kev Marcus (violin) and Wil B. (viola) have been performing together since 2004. Along the way the duo has won Showtime at the Apollo’s talent contest, performed with Alicia Keys and played the Kids Inaugural Concert, one of President Obama’s inaugural balls in 2013. Also on the bill is Braxton Cook, an acclaimed jazz saxophonist who is a highly regarded singer and songwriter. His music is a smooth blend of jazz, R&B and soul.
