Ignatius Sancho was a celebrated eighteenth-century Black British author, composer, actor and businessman. A complex, shrewd man he navigated the challenges and restrictions of the time, managing his public persona to defy dominant narratives and to secure positive recognition from wider society.
This event will be introduced by Catherine Nnamdi, Mayor of North Hykeham.
This event is free and open to all, and will take place in Seminar Room 1 in the Hardy Building on the Lincoln Bishop University Campus.
