Black Sheep: Accretion

Peace folk, We'll be hosting our first show "Accretion" @ Not Another GALLERY! in Brooklyn on the November 8th & 9th.

Black Sheep is a collective consisting of artists DHM and Jose. Some of our current goals are operating from a point of counter culture, delivering social commentary, creating community, and focusing on experimentation within art. The group itself works as an external vision of our works, influences, and thought processes. Our first show “Accretion”, functions as a way to present our first iteration of world building through our works.

With paintings by Jose that work as an introduction to his form of personal storytelling through his signature characters and artistic style; and photos by DHM that offer his view of society as well as his form of personal storytelling through isolated surrealism, both artists are able to offer their collective vision of their lives and world around them.

We’ll be at Not Another GALLERY! In Williamsburg on November 8 & 9th to utilize the gallery not only as a space to show work, but also as a space to connect with the public and have a temporary hub for our collective. So whether you're in the arts, have no interest in art, know someone who'd be interested in the arts, or just want to stop by and chill: Feel free to slide through!

Community building is at the center of these initiatives, so any form of support helps enable us to have future shows, highlight other artists & collectives, and continue the development of our craft; all donations will be used for future events.

Opening Reception

Come through on Saturday, Nov 8th on the opening night for our celebration of the show. This event is open to the public and we welcome all to come through, look at some dope art, and meet some cool people.

In Conversation
2-4PM

Stop by on Sunday, Nov 9th and kick it with the folk. Much like the 8th, we will be open to the public, except this time we're just gonna be chillin in the spot working, choppin it up, and contemplating future moves. There will also be a live "In Conversation" recording, so if you'd like to hear either artist talk about their approach to work/the process that goes into creating a show, most definitely drop in.
