About this Event

This historic event returns to Bakersfield, California and the Kern County fairgrounds for ONE SHOW only on Friday night 7/08/22 at 8pm. The cowboys have been locked down and out d/t Covid and are ready to get it on ! Back on the West coast for the first time in two years

Presented by the Kern County Black Chamber of Commerce, Calloway 4-h youth group, Rising Sun riding stables, BootBarn, and a host of other local supporters

Come see some of your favorite cowboys and cowgirls as well as your local riders competing in the fast paced Relay Races., Junior barrel racing, and junior breakaway roping.

Black Rodeo USA is proud and excited to present the Bakersfield Invitational Black Rodeo featuring national African American rodeo competitors. Join us for an educational celebration of our rich heritage and culture.

In the past, our rodeo has attracted thousands of enthusiastic fans. The event highlights local and national African American rodeo competitors. There will be one show 8:00pm featuring bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, steer undecorating, ladies barrel racing and relay races.

Round up your family and friends and join us for the "hottest show on dirt." The Bakersfield Black Rodeo is fun and exciting for the entire family and rated triple "E" Educational, Entertaining and for Everyone. The Rodeo runs on average for 2.5 hours.

Tickets: $15 GA PreSale tickets beginning April 1 - July 7 | $20 at the Gate DOS| $25 VIP Seating Limited/ $30.00 at the gate

- All Ages Event - Kids 3 and under free are admitted into the event for free with a paying adult

The mission of Black Rodeo USA is to celebrate African-American history and culture, and to create memories. We organize an annual rodeo that promotes an appreciation for our cultural heritage, provide education about the role African Americans played in shaping the history of the West while giving youth a hands-on experience with sportsmanship, equestrianism and agriculture.
