Our Black River Nature Cruise is an opportunity to see a cypress swamp river still preserved almost as it appeared to the early settlers when they visited the river for the first time. This is a Nature Cruise and nature abounds along both banks of the river as we cruise up The Cape Fear River and enter The Black River. Our naturalist Andy Wood will be pointing out and giving you an interpretation of the many interesting and natural wonders you will see on this trip. We schedule three of these cruises a month starting in May and running thru October. Two cruises will be run on Wednesday mornings and one Saturday morning cruise. Check our web site for dates and reservations should be made ahead of the day of sailing as these cruises usually run full. Due to the length of the cruise passengers may bring their own lunches however beverages should be purchased on board from our fully equipped bar. Some food and snacks are available for purchase on board. You can enjoy these cruises from our canopy covered open air deck or the climate controlled deck with two clean restrooms. Weather is not a problem as we are fully protected.On this 4 hour Black River Nature Cruise, just minutes after leaving the dock, guests will experience:
