About this Event

Are you a young Black creative looking to break into the music and media industry? Join us for an empowering installment of the Black Youth in Music Workshop Series. This session, titled "Black Representation in the Media," is a dedicated space for aspiring artists and professionals to discuss the realities of the industry and the strategies needed to thrive.

Navigating the music world as a Black youth comes with unique challenges. From systemic barriers to the importance of authentic storytelling, this workshop provides the roadmap to overcoming obstacles and cementing your place in the creative landscape.


Meet Your Guest Speaker: MOTION

We are honored to be joined by MOTION, a powerhouse in the Canadian media scene. As a celebrated Screenwriter, Playwright, Poet, and Emcee, MOTION brings decades of multidisciplinary experience. Her work has consistently pushed the boundaries of Black narrative and representation, making her the perfect mentor to guide the next generation of talent.
