Black Queer Equity Index Soul Food Brunch

Join us for the second annual Black Queer Equity Index (BQEI) Soul Food Brunch, a gathering featuring live house music, free soul food, and two lively panel discussions highlighting what we’ve learned from creating the BQEI, and how this project will serve as a catalyst for change in nonprofits across Chicagoland and beyond. 

The BQEI is a report card and a set of interventions. It evaluates how organizations treat Black LGBTQ+ employees and board members through surveys, then evaluates that data to provide actionable steps organizations can take toward improving their workplace cultures. 

At the Soul Food Brunch, you'll receive updates on how four of Chicago's most prominent nonprofits are serving the Black LGBTQ+ community, gain valuable insights into how your organization can participate in the BQEI, and network with passionate individuals and organizations committed to Black LGBTQ+ liberation.
