Influenced by cult metal, doom, sludge, progressive rock and psychedelic music, Black Pyramid solidified their sound with their debut 2009 album on Meteorcity Records. This self-titled album is considered by many fans and critics alike to be a classic of the genre and has seen multiple reissues due to its acclaim within the underground. With Andy Beresky on guitar and vocals, Eric Beaudry on bass, and Andy Kivela on drums, they quickly crystalized new elements into their sonic arsenal, incorporating experimental arrangements, psychedelic soundscapes, and extended improvised jams into their monolithic, roaring three-piece doom. The trio toured Europe in 2019 (Desertfest Antwerp, Keep It Low Festival, Into The Void), showcasing material from their legendary first album alongside brand-new compositions.
2024 marks the return of the trio in Europe with a brand new album, to be released in early 2024: The Paths of Time Are Vast. The band will be embarking on a European Tour to support this new full-length, and come back to crush their audience with fresh and doomy riffs!
