About this Event

The 7th Annual Black Philanthropy Month Celebration will take place at the historic Attucks Theatre in Norfolk.

The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the program at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Makola M. Abdullah, President of Virginia State University

Special Guest:

Fireside chat with Dr. Dawnn Lewis, Actor, Musician, Producer, CEO A New Day Foundation, CEO Morning Jewel Inc. (Best known for her role as Jaleesa Vinson-Taylor on the NBC sitcom, A Different World)
