Join us at Urban Core Collective (413 Hall St SE) on Saturday, February 15 for a Parent Cafe specifically designed by and for Black parents and caregivers. This event will explore parental resilience and relationships as ways for parents and caregiversraising children to care for themselves.
Snacks and a family style meal will be provided, and while there will not be formal childcare, you are welcome to bring your kids- we have a small play area in our main office area, and a side room for kids with headphones playing with phones or tablets. What is a Parent Cafe?
A Parent Cafe is a supportive and judgment-free gathering where parents and caregivers can come together to share experiences, worries, and wisdom. These cafés are designed to:
~ Build community and reduce isolation.
~ Strengthen relationships and foster connections.
~ Enhance leadership skills and link families to resources.
~ Offer parents a space to focus on themselves.
